[Manners had kicked in and it was now time for the sleepy mutant to shuffle over to the kitchen to start the day.]

Coffee.

[this is good. he likes this. hopefully Kurt is a good cook.]

Coffee it is.

[And so Kurt set about making scrambled eggs, bacon, and coffee, pouring Petre a cup and indicating he could make it as he liked while he finished up with the food.]

So how is it you were out so late by yourself last night?

[broil]

[what a good host. he takes a seat and waits, resting his head on his fist.]

I got bored. Thought I'd go out and pick up chicks.

[penitently]

[The food was made quickly enough and Kurt let the bacon drain on a plate with paper towels as he dished out the eggs to two plates, setting them down on the kitchen table before bringing the bacon and his own coffee over. Cutlery came next, then he was sitting down and gesturing for Petre to dig in.]

I assume that did not go as you'd hoped?

[All the while, Petre watched him and waited. Having things done for him was quite a nice feeling. This must be how it felt to wake up in some domestic scenario where your breakfast was made for you every morning. It was nice.]

[he talks as he chews. classy.]

What were you up to?

Not much. Watching a movie, but they are easily watched at any time.

[If you expected anything flashier, you were barking up the wrong mutant, Petre. Kurt was happy to be able to sit at home and enjoy the small comforts.]

Oh, drat. I interrupted your me-time.

[He's smiling.]

[He grinned and picked up his coffee.]

All time is me time. I am capable of handling my schedule.

[The blue man blushes, whoa. And Petre laughs because he genuinely thinks he's funny. It's quite sad.]

I gotta wonder, though. Do you just spend your time alone all the time? [chew chew.] What is your type?

No. I work. And I visit with friends, much as I expect you do.

[He was ignoring that last part and eating his eggs, thank you.]

[wiggling his fork at you.]

[He had to cover his mouth as he coughed, looking up at Petre and giving him a scolding with his eyes.]

In that term, I do not have any.

[He blushes, ducking his head down to sip his coffee.]
